This blog is about a 33 and 43 year old who became pregnant after two IVF cycles. We made many protocol and lifestyle changes with our second IVF you can read about on the sidebar. While we are basking in the hope of meeting our baby, our feet are planted firmly on infertile ground. Through surgeries, a DOR diagnosis, losing six embryos, and the miscarriage of a twin... if your life is still revolving around vials and needles... we hope to share our success story with you.

12 Weeks

Blood: Moderate to heavy
Clotting: Light to medium
Cramps: None

Went for a sonogram at 11w6d yesterday and the heart rate was 153.
The baby is just fine!

I must say it alarmed me that the doctor knows my history of bleeding and still being okay, but when I said the word "clot" they couldn't see me fast enough.

Why all this bleeding?  I've been given a few explanations:
1.  Still bleeding from losing twin at 5w3d
2.  Subchorionic hemorrhages are still forming and then repairing themselves
3.  Fibroids/Polyps

Personally, I think it's the hemorrhages.  Mostly I think that because I've seen so many of those little black holes on my sonograms and been told they are spots where the placenta is tearing away.  That sure doesn't sound good, does it?  It's crazy how at the next sonogram they will be GONE.  Vanished.

What is good, GREAT, in fact, is that YES they really do repair themselves.

Tomorrow is my 12 week appointment with the new OB.  I have many questions to ask her, so I hope she's got some time.

I truly apologize for my tardiness in writing this post.  Words can't describe to you how heart warming it is to have girls I've never even met truly interested and preoccupied in the health of Baby H.  I know it's true, because I do it for each of you, too.

Will send you a full report tomorrow from 12w1d appointment.

I'm glad that baby H is doing well. I have been spotting on and off and they think it's from the second embryo that never developed. It's all terrifying when you see any kind of clotting. I hit 12 wks on Sat!

Good luck with the 12 wk appt. Can't wait to get a full report.
