This blog is about a 33 and 43 year old who became pregnant after two IVF cycles. We made many protocol and lifestyle changes with our second IVF you can read about on the sidebar. While we are basking in the hope of meeting our baby, our feet are planted firmly on infertile ground. Through surgeries, a DOR diagnosis, losing six embryos, and the miscarriage of a twin... if your life is still revolving around vials and needles... we hope to share our success story with you.

Sweet Pea, Apple of My Eye

As you know, this Saturday morning we found ourselves in the emergency room having a miscarriage.  While there we found out I had been carrying twins.  When I went in for blood work two days later, the numbers were very low and we were not given much hope for our other baby.  After two very long days, we just received results from this morning's blood work.

We were so afraid for the other twin and knew its number needed to be at least 13,000 this morning for it to have a good shot at life.  The results came back as 17,020!  I was told that no more blood was needed and we can just come in for an ultrasound on Friday.  For now, we have a growing little one who turned six weeks today and is the size of a sweet pea : )

Your prayers have meant the world and have certainly carried us through the ups and downs of IVF.

Such wonderful news to hear that the betas are moving right back up to where they need to be and that everything seems okay with the baby you still have marinating in there. I've been following you for a couple weeks but can't remember if I ever commented before or not? Anyways, we are on the exact same schedule, I'm 6 weeks today as well, so nice timing!

Also, I love the prenology.com ticker you have at the top but i can't figure out how to add it to my blogger page without it going on the side bar and being cut off rather than fully displaying...do tell! :)

Again, congrats on the good news.

Thanks for reading my blog! My younger sister was going to be a twin as well and my mom has an early miscarriage. They saw one baby at the ultrasound and she delivered two placentas. My little sister is proof that you can lose one baby and the other one will be fine and make it to term! Best wishes to you!
