This blog is about a 33 and 43 year old who became pregnant after two IVF cycles. We made many protocol and lifestyle changes with our second IVF you can read about on the sidebar. While we are basking in the hope of meeting our baby, our feet are planted firmly on infertile ground. Through surgeries, a DOR diagnosis, losing six embryos, and the miscarriage of a twin... if your life is still revolving around vials and needles... we hope to share our success story with you.

Trigger Tonight!

Well, well, well...

We switched to microdose Lupron flare, added 3 vials of Menopur per day along with the Gonal-f and hCG, threw in over two thousand of dollars worth of acupuncture and herbs AND estrogen priming and guess what?

I just left my final follie check and I still am projected to only have 5 eggs.
Guess how many eggs we retrieved during IVF #1?
Five.

And I am not even upset.
No one gave me any false pretenses that this cycle would produce more eggs.  Not the Dr., the nurse, or even the acupuncturist.  Our only goal has been to make these 5 eggs the best they can be.

The actual numbers are as follows:
NOTE:  My nurse said today's ideal follie numbers are between 18 and 22.  However, the 16's do have a chance of producing a mature egg as well.  I'll put a star by the ones she said she's betting on...

Right: (This is the side that used to have the nasty hydrosalpinx, yet it has been the "better ovary" once tube was removed.)
*22x20
13x10
*21x14
16x11
*18x17
13x7
*22x20

Left: (This tube is perfect, yet the ovary doesn't work as well.)
16x15
14x12
*20x17

So there you have it.
*****5 little stars representing 5 hopeful eggs*****
